I got up at an unGodly hour this morning to hit the Black Friday sales. I finished buying most of the kids' presents despite having a fever. I was supposed to take my grandma home, but my mom volunteered since I was sick. Jeff had to work, so the kids and I sat around and watched movies all day (including Akeelah and the Bee, which was excellent!) We ordered pizza for dinner, and absolutely no cleaning or packing was done. :-(

That candy looks like the hard candy that we used to get every Christmas. It was my absolute favorite! And we love Akeelah and the Bee around this house, too. Great movie!
