This evening, we told the kids that we were going to pick up some books that I had gotten off of Freecycle. We actually went to a breeder and picked up our new 6 week old Boston Terrier puppy. The breeder is a fellow homeschool mom who is getting out of the business and giving away the parents and puppies. 'Fred' was the runt of the litter, and the last puppy left. We are definitely going to change his name, but haven't agreed on anything yet. Nick chose the name 'Alex', which may end up sticking. We've got some time before filling out the registration paperwork.
The kids are beside themselves with joy, but I think Jeff may be the most giddy. He says he's just thrilled to see the kids so happy, but I have my suspicions...
OH MY GOD YOU GOT A PUPPY!!!!! I'M SO EXCITED FOR YOU!! IT'S THE CUTEST THING EVER!!! Really, can you tell I'm excited that you got a dog? All kids need a dog! Yeah!
