Day 119 - Schoolwork and Strawberries
Tuesday, April 29, 2008
Schoolwork was slow today. Rachael caught up on her English & Math that she had gotten behind on last week...
On a better note... Even though we had strawberries yesterday, we're a strawberry eating family! We had more today with our sloppy joes, broccoli, cauliflower, and baked potato wedges. They were soooo good!
We used to have a wonderful "You Pick Your Own" strawberry field here in our little town - but it has been gone for years. Unfortunately, by the time strawberries get trucked in here they are almost rotten. It makes me so sad! I literally spent about 10 minutes the other day going through the containers of strawberries trying to find one container that didn't have rotten strawberries. I needed them for a recipe - otherwise I wouldn't have bought them at all. They were truly that bad. :(
Okay, now that I have gotten all negative here... :) Your strawberries look yummy!!!!!! :)
